Nyzeeländsk spenat – New-Zealand spinach

New-Zealand, aka Tetragon or sea spinach, isn’t actual family of spinach, but it taste alike, hence the name. In contrary to regular spinach, it loves warmth and is therefore perfect for growing in summer, when regular spinach shoots into flowers too easy. Its love for warmth starts young, it sprouts only when around 25 degrees. Our NZ spinach is sprouted already in March, kept warm all the time until planted outside at the end of May. It then grows quickly into a very bush plant. Quite a journey!

Storage
Keep it in the plastic bag in the fridge for up to a week.
