Radicchio loves cold weather, it is a typical autumn vegetable. Your radicchio was planted at the beginning of July, when the days got shorter. It is family of the chicory and has a bitter, spicy taste that mellows if it is grilled. So yes, it can be eaten raw and cooked! Store:
Wrapped in a wet paper towel it will stay crisp in the fridge for 2-3 days. Soak the leaves in a bowl of cold water to revive.
