Now you know it’s really winter! Some say that Brussels sprouts need frost to be extra good and probably that is true. Sure is, these green pearls need lots of time to grow. After sowing in spring, they become majestic trees during summer, with all those little sprouts hidden under the leaves. To pick them I break them off the stem, and let me tell you, they hold on tight!
